Responsibilities:
Knowledgeable and safe operation of assigned work area Package materials in designated form such as bales, super sacks, boxes, pallets, etc.
according to instructions or processing guidelines Manually unload materials from customer vehicles Perform routine pre & post inspections of work area as per instructions; reporting any unsatisfactory conditions to floor supervisor Safely operate all assigned machines according to instructions Maintain clean and organized work area Report any damage to company property of any kind including racking, trailers, equipment Attend to all customers according to WSR procedures Greet peddler customers in a courteous and timely manner Accurate, complete, legible, and timely completion of paperwork, tally sheets, production tickets, and/or reports Complete daily production sheets accurately, completely, and neatly Sort material properly for shipment preparation Sweep and maintain a clean general facility work area inside and outside Greeting and assisting customers arriving on site to sell material in a timely and courteous manner Performing other duties as assigned by direct supervisor or department manager Physical Demands Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts, climb stairs, and moves continually during working hours.
Is subject to lifting over 50 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend work is also necessary on a need basis.
Required Education and Experience High school diploma.
Preferred Education and Experience Warehouse experience, handling and sorting material.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
